Poas Lodge Policies: Please read, this stuff is important!

Poas Lodge accepts deposit payments via Paypal. Paypal is the easiest and most secure option for making payments online. Anyone can use Paypal to make payments using their credit or debit card. You can even use Paypal if you do not have a Paypal account. When you receive a Paypal deposit request email, please take the time to read it. Paypal is easy to use and makes the reservation process very secure. Thank you.?Once you receive a Paypal deposit request from Poas Lodge we will hold the room for you for 48 hours unless another arrangement is made. ?Only once we receive a Paypal deposit payment is your reservation confirmed.

If you do not want to use Paypal to make a confirmed reservation we suggest you contact us to make a special reservation arrangement.

Please have a credit card available upon check-in.

Cancellations: If you cancel a confirmed reservation at least 2 days prior to the arrival date, you can receive a full refund, less the Paypal fees. Reservations cancelled later than 2 days prior to scheduled arrival will forfeit the deposit. ?To cancel a reservation please call +506 2482 1091 or email us at least 2 days prior to your scheduled arrival date.?If you need to change a reservation arrival date there is no charge.

Check-in is from 3pm. Reception hours are from 8am to 8pm. We will happily accommodate a late check-in if we are notified in advance. If you are arriving late (after 8pm) please notify us in advance. Our kitchen closes at 8pm, if you require a meal upon arrival we will gladly prepare something for you if we are made aware in advance. ?Reservations made without a deposit will only be held until 6pm on the date of check-in unless another arrangement is made.

Lost keys: A lost room key will result in a $25 charge. If you neglect to return a room key upon check out it will also result in a $25 charge.

Smoking policy: Poas Lodge is a non smoking facility. Please smoke outdoors in an area that will not cause discomfort to other guests. We will gladly provide an ashtray and advice on where to smoke. Please DO NOT throw cigarette ends on the ground or in the surrounding gardens/fields. All our rooms are non-smoking. Smoking in a guest room will result in a $100 cleaning charge per day. Any evidence of smoking in a guest room will result in a charge of $100 per day. Evidence of smoking can include but is not limited to the smell of smoke and cigarette ash.

Damage to property: Any damage caused to Poas Lodge property will be charged. We mean it! That also means if you have children and they break something. We will charge for replacement or repair of damaged items.

Cleaning fees: A room left in an unusually messy or dirty state will be charged a cleaning fee of $50. We ensure all our rooms are presented to guests clean. Be respectful of our property by taking off shoes when entering the room. Please do not bring your bag full of beach sand or mud into the room. Please do not bring your hiking boots into the room, they will be safe outside the door.

Our restaurant and lounge area is for your enjoyment and we have an extensive menu of items available. Please do not consume any food or beverages in this area if they were purchased elsewhere.

Noise: Please be respectful of other guests at Poas Lodge by keeping noise levels down to a minimum. This also applies to the television in your room; please keep the volume at a reasonable level. We reserve the right to charge an inconvenience fee that will be distributed to other guests should you create a noise disturbance. The amount will be determined by the number of guests on a particular day.
Poas Lodge, its parent company, managers and employees will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to your personal property, including personal injury and death that may occur at Poas Lodge for whatever reason. This includes you and extends to everyone in your party.
