More upgrades for Poas Lodge
At Poas Lodge we believe the only way is forward, that is why we are always improving the lodge and our service. The following are changes, improvements and additions we will be undertaking in the next month or two, prior to our next high season. We will be upgrading 2 more of our guest rooms to bring them in line with our other rooms that were upgraded earlier this year. We will be gutting the rooms completely and starting from scratch to create unique and very comfortable rooms for our guests to enjoy.

We will be adding convection heaters to all our rooms at Poas Lodge to ensure our guests are cosy on cold Poas Volcano nights. Convection heaters use very little power but provide sufficient heat for cold Poas nights.

We will be adding insulation to Poas Lodge in order to ensure the heat created by our new heaters will be utilised in the most economical way. Insulating Poas Lodge will also have the effect of drowning out noise to create a calm and quiet atmosphere in all our rooms.

A wall will be added to Poas Lodge on the rain side of the building to shield the stairs leading to the rooms from any rain or mist. The wall will also have the effect of providing extra protection from wind and cold at Poas Volcano.

Poas Lodge will be purchasing a new vehicle to provide comfortable and safe guest transport. Poas Lodge currently offers airport and city transfer to and from the lodge at Poas Volcano. We will extend our capabilities with a four wheel drive vehicle in order to offer private transport to anywhere within Costa Rica.
