The gardens not only offer a chance to stand just feet away from a thundering waterfall but also the opportunity to view a wide selection of Costa Rican wildlife. Many areas at La Paz are undercover to protect visitors from passing showers.

Quaint souvenir stores offer travellers a chance to pick up some local crafts for the folks back home. We recommend Muy Tranquilo in Poasito for a warm welcome and a free cup of hot Chocolate from Tavo the owner. He has a wonderful selection of crafts and souvenirs.
